4 Work-Life Balance Apps You are Guaranteed To Love

Updated: Nov 22, 2022

If you feel like you’re struggling to keep up with your work, chores, and social life - you are not alone. Most of us are trying (and quite often failing) to stay on top of our to-do lists, making ourselves exhausted and still missing out.

Not to worry though! We do live in the amazing digital era and there is an app for almost everything. We thought we would help you by picking out 4 apps that we think could really help you save time while also bringing some structure into your daily routine.

1. Forrest

Do you ever feel like you keep drifting towards your phone every time you need to focus and get a task done? It’s not surprising, a recent study showed that human attention span has fallen from 12 seconds in 2000 to 8 seconds in 2021.

There is quite a selection of apps to help you focus, but we would like to draw your attention to one of them specifically - Forrest.

The app is designed to motivate you to stay off your phone with a gamified approach. When you need to stay focused you plant a seed in the forest, as you leave your phone untouched the seed keeps growing into a beautiful tree. As time goes by you level up unlocking over 80 virtual trees, earning extra rewards, and planting an actual real-life tree using the earned coins - helping the environment.

Useful and green - the best way for anything to be!

2. Feedly

If you like to keep up with the recent news but never seem to have enough time for all your favorite news portals or are simply not sure where to hunt for the latest news - Feedly is just the thing for you. This elegant and simplified app, with free and premium memberships, allows you to pick a list of topics of your interest and will put together a list of daily news where it will be accessible to you all in one app.

It’s a quick and easy way to always stay in touch.

3. Our Home

Now let’s be honest - managing work-life balance is a whole other deal to those with kids! There are so many online tools that promise to make your life easier that choosing only one becomes a task of its own.

However, when it comes to teaching your kids some responsibilities - look no more than Our Home.

The app makes assigning household tasks and chores to family members - easy, allowing you to track their progress and even give penalties. The gamified look and feel of the app also make it extremely fun for the kids.

Although small, it is a step towards taking some control over the usual craziness of the household!

4. FitOn

We can all agree - even with a lot of free time on our hands, working out takes some extreme motivational self-talk to get to. But for those who only lack time - FitOn could be just the solution.

FitOn was first founded in 2019 and is a digital platform with thousands of free classes taught by celebrity trainers or sometimes even celebrities themselves! The classes range from cardio to kickboxing, to strength, yoga, and even meditation. It’s easy to search for the right workout by intensity, equipment & health requirements. There is also a premium paid subscription which will unlock meal plans and personalized advice.

Being able to choose a no-equipment workout or a 6 minute stretch in the morning from the comfort of your home can be very appealing.

However, it’s important to remember that we all struggle to do it all and there is no need to put too much pressure on ourselves. Sometimes the best thing you can do is to just leave your chores and tasks for the next day and relax with a glass of wine and your favorite Netflix show!
